3 Yoga Poses for Slim, Toned, and Shapely Arms

Want to wear that sleeveless blouse, but worried about your flabby arms? Well, there are no quick fixes to losing weight, but with some effort and perseverance, and the three asanas we’re describing in this article, you, too, can have shapely and toned arms to flaunt. Shall we get started?

Chaturanga Dandasana (Staff Pose)

This Asana targets your triceps and lower arms effectively

  • Start by lying down on your chest.
  • Tuck your arms by your side and place your palms on the floor, keeping them parallel to your elbows.
  • Raise yourself up on your palms while simultaneously going up on your toes.
  • Hold for 30-60 seconds and release.

Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog)

This asana is great at strengthening the muscles of your arms that aren’t usually used in arm workouts.

  • Start on your hands and knees.
  • Slowly lift your knees off the ground.
  • As you straighten your knees, press your heels into the ground.
  • Hold this pose for 30-90 seconds and release.
  • Repeat 3-5 times.

Vasisthasana (Side Plank)

This works for toning and shaping your arms and obliques.

  • Start by lying on your side.
  • Place your palms beside you in line with your shoulder.
  • Place one foot above the other in line with each other.
  • Lift your body off the ground, supporting your weight on your arms.
  • Lift the other arm towards the sky.
  • Hold for 6-12 seconds and release.
  • Repeat 3-5 times.
